The Obie Awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to feature more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories. The Obie Awards are the premier awards in the new home construction industry, and recognize outstanding achievement in new home building. Presented by Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Sales and Marketing Council, the annual Obie Awards are hosted every fall at the Georgia Aquarium. A panel of 20 judges reviews and evaluates the submissions to determine the winners.

After living in an older ranch home for over 20 years, the couple approached Harrison to build a forever home on their current lot. The dream: a rustic, modern farmhouse that serves as their very own adult playground.
