Here down south, we welcome the relief from the intense summer heat with open arms and eagerly await cooler fall temperatures. To celebrate the change of season, Harrison Homes sponsored a social media contest where the lucky winner received a Fall Front Porch Décor Makeover! Check out the winner’s porch pictures below, and grab some quick tips and home inspo from Harrison Homes Designer Jenny Pugh on how to turn your front porch into a seasonal masterpiece.

Contest Winner’s Porch Designed & Decorated by Harrison Homes

1. Create Symmetry

Our winner’s front porch is asymmetrical, so Jenny created balance by loading up the left side of the stair case with a combination of seasonal items including mums, different colored pumpkins, floral, etc. At the front of the staircase, Jenny balanced same-size mums across from one another and grouped decorations to achieve a symmetrically pleasing concept.

2. Add Texture

Jenny added texture with fun bumpy pumpkins, a rustic galvanized tin vase and lantern, welcome mat and natural floral elements.

3. Create Dimension

By strategically spacing, stacking and placing each element, Jenny was able to add variety and dimension for an abundant, resplendent look.

4. Use Natural Elements

The majority of the decor is natural and from the earth. Harrison Homes used pumpkins, squash, mums, hydrangea, dried sticks, cattails, and eucalyptus for this fresh and organic creation. The fall floral arrangement materials showcased natural, more beautifully muted fall tones.

5. Refresh What You Have

Our winner already had this fall wreath, which Jenny refreshed by adding a simple textured burlap bow. The small addition instantly updated and completed the look!

Happy Fall Ya’ll, from Harrison Homes!
